Transport Fever 3 vehicles cover trains, buses, passenger trams, cargo trams, trucks, ships, aircraft and helicopters. Helicopters and cargo trams are new to the series. The Steam feature list says 275+ realistic vehicles; the official FAQ, editions page and First Look Episode 5 say more than 300 in the base game. The class table shows both published figures without a 275-name roster or per-model stats.

Use the class table to decide which carrier belongs on a route, then watch the official vehicle trailer for helicopters, tram-trains and cargo wagons in motion. Deluxe named models (Concorde, London Bus, Trans-Europe Express, Peterbilt 359, Hong Kong Tram, Sikorsky S-76 Spirit) sit on top of these classes rather than replacing them.

Vehicle overview trailer

The official vehicle trailer is the First Look motion picture for helicopters, cargo trams and mixed-era trains. Click the facade to load youtube-nocookie. Chapter notes below describe what Urban Games actually shows; they follow the official cuts.

Pair the film with the class table. The trailer does not publish top speed, capacity or purchase price for any model, and and the class table stays qualitative.

Broad class table

Urban Games groups the roster by job, not by a public ID list. Trains still run passengers and cargo from steam to high-speed, and tram-trains can join that rail. Buses stay on roads; Deluxe adds a London Bus. Passenger trams can run in the street, underground and as tram-trains. Cargo trams are the urban freight debut, with configurable wagons.

Trucks cover road cargo; Deluxe adds Peterbilt 359. Ships run from paddle-steamers to supertankers, with TS Queen Mary in the pre-order pack. Aircraft include the Deluxe Concorde. Helicopters carry passengers and freight and act as industry boosters; Deluxe adds the Sikorsky S-76 Spirit.

The 275+ Steam line and the 300+ FAQ line both include helicopters and cargo trams. Until Urban Games publishes a named roster, treat those counts as size of the set, not as a public name list. Horse-drawn wagons still open the timeline; jets and helicopters close it.

Helicopters, cargo trams and tram-trains

Helicopters are the aerial class that Transport Fever 2 did not ship. Urban Games puts them on passenger and freight work and as industry boosters, which means a pad at a factory can raise output rather than only moving cargo between stations. The Deluxe Sikorsky S-76 Spirit is the named extra in that class, not the only helicopter.

Cargo trams are the other series debut. They take urban freight on street rail with configurable wagons, so a city line can move goods without forcing every crate onto trucks. Passenger trams share infrastructure: the same family can run underground and as tram-trains onto mainline rail. That is a routing choice, not a separate sandbox mode.

Infrastructure tools that support these classes include freeform roads, per-lane control, highway ramps, overland trams and underground railways. Those tools live on the tycoon page because they are how you keep noise and congestion from stalling a town that just unlocked cargo trams.

Why per-vehicle stats are unpublished

Steam's feature list says 275+ realistic vehicles including helicopters and cargo trams. The official FAQ, the editions page and First Look Episode 5 say more than 300 vehicles in the base game. Both statements come from Urban Games. Publishing only one number would hide a real disagreement in Urban Games' own copy, so both stay visible here.

No official table lists purchase price, capacity, top speed, year of availability or cargo slots per model. Deluxe names are listed because the editions page names them; they still lack stats. Trans-Europe Express, Hong Kong Tram and Concorde are names, not rows of numbers.

Steam achievements are advertised on the store but the community achievements page is empty before launch, so there are no official vehicle-unlock icons to bind. When Urban Games publishes a roster or a stats sheet, that belongs in a later revision of this table rather than in guessed rows. Horse wagons open the 1900s; helicopters and cargo trams are the series debuts that sit beside trains, buses, trucks, ships and aircraft. Deluxe names attach to those classes instead of replacing them.

Frequently asked questions

Are helicopters only in Deluxe?

No. Helicopters are a base-game class and a series debut. Deluxe adds the named Sikorsky S-76 Spirit on top of that class, the same way Deluxe adds Concorde on top of aircraft rather than creating aviation from scratch. Base-game helicopter counts are part of the 275+ / 300+ totals, not a separate DLC roster.

Can passenger trams use the same tracks as trains?

The official FAQ says trams can run underground and as tram-trains, and that tram-trains can join rail. That is the Urban Games statement. Use the class as a routing option, then confirm signalling and platform length in the launch build rather than from a guessed penalty table.
